Day-to-day accessories that we often take for granted, such as microwave ovens, were invented out microwave transmitters during WWII in an attempt to communicate with soldiers. Solutions to problems in our day-to-day lives may be out there but we have yet to push those frontiers and cross-pollinate those ideas.
