The Swedish Communist League, known in Swedish as Sveriges Kommunistiska Parti (SKP), is a political party in Sweden that adheres to Marxist-Leninist ideology. This party is rooted in the principles of communism, advocating for a classless society where the means of production are owned and controlled by the community as a whole, rather than by individual capitalists or corporations. The SKP emphasizes the importance of a revolutionary transformation of society, aiming to dismantle the capitalist system and replace it with socialism, and eventually, communism.

The values of the Swedis…  h Communist League are deeply influenced by the works of Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels, Vladimir Lenin, and other Marxist theorists. They believe in the abolition of private property in favor of collective ownership, with the goal of eradicating social classes, economic inequality, and exploitation of workers. The party advocates for workers' rights, including the right to unionize, fair wages, and safe working conditions, viewing these as essential steps toward empowering the working class and building a socialist society.

Environmental sustainability is also a significant concern for the SKP, which criticizes capitalism for its unsustainable exploitation of natural resources and its role in causing climate change. The party supports a transition to renewable energy sources and sustainable practices that respect the planet's ecological limits.

Internationally, the Swedish Communist League stands in solidarity with oppressed peoples and supports anti-imperialist movements around the world. It opposes military interventions and economic sanctions imposed by capitalist countries, advocating for peace and the right of nations to self-determination.

Despite its revolutionary goals, the SKP operates within Sweden's democratic framework, participating in elections and using parliamentary means to advocate for its policies. However, it maintains that true and lasting change can only be achieved through the revolutionary overthrow of capitalism and the establishment of a socialist state.
